Three squashes were planted in a new bed on the lawn. Three were in pots.

Marina di Chioggia in bed 1 super! Used in November.
| Basil | Grew OK. Didn't use much. |
| Beetroot | Jun 29 two small bulbs used.(tasty) One big bulb in October. |
| Broad beans | Very small crop. The Sutton. Germinated well but did not overwinter well. |
| Carrots | in pots. Very good. Gigante flakee. 2lb per pot. |
| Chard | Doing well in October and November |
| Foxgloves | Brilliant again! Really good behind James Grieve! |
| Garlic | (From shop) Two very small bulbs. |
| Garlic, elephant | Good growth. Four plants. Good results. |
| Hesperis | As good as foxgloves this time. The white is really strong. |
| Hollyhocks | Brilliant show! 3 new ones planted. |
| Leaf beet | Poor. |
| Leeks | Very good in pots. Not good in big bed. |
| Marigolds | Self seeded in Apple Garden. Another good display. |
| Nigella | One self seeded pot did well again, but don't last long. |
| Onions | Good crop, although rather small. Excellent flavour. (Tropea Rossa Lunga) |
| Pak choy | Can't seem to grow this! |
| Parsley | Really good. 1 pot lasts most of season. Still growing well outside after frosts |
| Peppers | Poblano did well in pots. Should do again. |
| Potatoes | Grown in remains of haybale. Rough area. A success for the small effort |
| Radishes | Early crop good. Need more and should thin them better. |
| Tomatoes | Not brilliant. Most succumbed to blight. Rapunzel and gardeners delight gave most. |
